CC2650: Gateway Chipset

Hi All,

I want to build a gateway for 6LoWPAN, and based on the available choices in the website I chose CC2650 (Based on CC2650DK).

Now, I have a question regarding the capability of CC2650 IC:

1. It's a chip for gateway, so is it multi-channel multi-transceiver? How many concurrent paths can it demodulate?

I am asking this question because the smart products will send/receive control commands and important information, so we want to reduce the delay.

As I know, CC2650 is single transceiver and single channel.

In case if I have 10 packets which are sent from NODES to GATEWAY/BORDER ROUTER.
How will CC2650 deal with the packets? Put then in a queue? Or what?

I suppose those 10 packets are sent sequentially and would send to GATEWAY/BORDER ROUTER sequentially.

Let us suppose the packets are not sent sequentially. Will it go in a FIFO? Or just demodulate the first signal it captures?

Yes.
Basically, gateway's chipset that will do the modulation/demodulation.

Demodulating the signals which are captured by the antenna. Anyway, forget it.
Again I mean Slip-radio or CC2650 when it is connected to RPi3.

If you want to know more about radio part of CC2650, I suggest you to refer to Chapter 23 in CC2650 technical reference manual.
