CC2650: Porting cc2650 zigbee smart switch examples to custom board

Hi,

I am working on cc2650 smart switch end device example provided in C:\ti\simplelink\zstack_home_1_02_02a_44539\Projects\zstack\HomeAutomation\SampleSwitch\CC26xx

It works fine on development kit which has lcd and keypad.

Now I want to use my custom board for this application.

My requirements are,

Binding and searching should start on power up.
also my ic is MODULE_CC26XX_5X5, but if i add this macro compiler is generating errors. What changes I should make to make this run.
Do I need to remove lcd and keypad routines? if yes how should I do it.

Please help me on above things.

1. You can disable HOLD_AUTO_START in Stack Core project to make your device start to searching network to join.
2. You should define MODULE_CC26XX_5X5 instead of MODULE_CC26XX_7X7 in your both your application and stack core project compile option.
3. To disable LCD, you can undefine TI_DRIVERS_LCD_INCLUDED in application project. For keypad, you can revise hal_key.c to use your own.

Hi,
Can I run same application i.e sample switch example for cc2650 on my custom board? At lease discovery of board as an end device is possible?
If no what changes are needed to be made in code?

What CC2650 package do you use on your custom board? 7x7, 5x5, or 4x4?

I use 5x5 ic on my board.
Also i have one more question, if I make changes which you said above will device connect to network automatically?
I am trying this on cc2650 rf06 board as smart switch and cc2538 rf05 board as light. But I need to press buttons to take cc2650 in ez mode.
Also my end device is disconnecting frequently.(I think it is resetting)

Thank you for your support.
I have tried to use my custom board till date , but I am not successful in expected implementation whatsoever.

Now I have decided strategy as ZNP + ZAP at coordinator and end device.

I have following scenerio,
ZNP(coordinator ) cc2530 rf05 board + ZAP cc3200 launchpad this as transmitter i.e sample switch
ZNP(end device ) cc2650 rf06 board + ZAP cc3200 launchpad this as receiver i.e sample light

Now I have major issue as I am not able to compile code of ZAP for cc3200 launchpad. Example given is for msp430.
Please let me know the simplest method to port ZAP code on cc3200.
Its very urgent for me. Since if it goes well soon then we are going for production on large scale.

You can try to use Portable ZigBee Plug-In Software Framework for any OS.

for end device you don't need to use ZNP+ZAP

I have to use custom application for cc2650 at end device. That is why I am using znp + zap at end device.
Also link which have provided uses TIVA board. I have cc3200 launchpad. Please let me know what changes I should make in zap code of tiva board to work on cc3200 launchpad.

There is no existing ZAP example for CC3200. You have to porting or implement ZAP on CC3200 by yourself.
