Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1350, LAUNCHXL-CC1350
Hi,
We are planning to use CC1350 launchpad for creating a mesh network with Contiki 3.0. So it will be really helpful if someone could suggest us the best platform for Boarder router.
1) Can we use the same CC1350 launchpad with BeagleBoneBlack? Does CC1350 having enough memory for mesh network with 250 end devices?
2) I assume that since it is having an onboard debugger we can communicate that to BeagleBoneBlack without any additional support of TI XDS100v3 Emulator etc. Is this correct?
3) If CC1350 launchpad with BeagleBoneBlack is not possible then which will be the better option?
4) As per our understanding Contiki 3.0 supports IPV4 to IPV6 conversion ie.
"The Contiki 3.0 release adds support for the IP64/NAT64/DNS64 set of protocols that make it possible to connect Contiki IPv6 mesh networks directly to IPv4 networks, such as the Internet, without the need for a special translation proxy. The protocols operate directly at the IP layer to create a seamless translation between the mesh and the Internet. Alongside, device driver support for the ENC26j80 Ethernet chip has been added, to make it easy to connect Contiki mesh networks to Ethernet networks."
So can we add an external ENC26j80 Ethernet chip with CC1350 launchpad and use it as a Boarder router instead of using BBB?
Thanks
