CC2530: BDB Reporting in Z-Stack 3.0

Hello,

I also checked in zcl_samplelight_data.c  my On/Off Cluster already have reporting enabled as shown here

Hi Ajit,

The reporting attribute state machine is implemented already in the Zstack 3.0 so the reporting will be performer by the stack automatically when the bind is created in the sample light.

From the Z-stack linux gateway user guide:

6.3.3.4 Bind and Unbind.

The BIND/UNBIND (shortcut keys “D” and ”U”) action lets you bind and unbind one or more devices. For instance, to bind a Switch to a Light, you would follow the steps below:
  - In the “DEVICES” section, use the up/down arrow keys to navigate to the desired Switch device and press “D”. The trace log will confirm that a binding source has been selected.
(Pressing “D” again, will unselect your device).
  - Next navigate to a Light device and press “D” again. The trace log will confirm that a binding destination has been selected.
  - Trace log will show the messages that are being sent to initiate this bind, and also the final result (successful or unsuccessful). The entries should flash green to indicate that binding has been initiated.
  - After a successful bind, the switch should be able to control the Light.
o To Unbind, press “U” for the devices one by one, in the same order.

Sorry, I was able to solve the problem. I had to remove and rejoin the device to the network.

But in this case also we have to write the report command function as suggested by yikai. It wont report directly, we have to write the code for this for the reporting to happen.

The problem is that we have done all the development on CC2530. We were just trying to Port from Z-Stack 1.2.1 to Z-Stack 3.0.

What problem we would face if we hardcode the desitination address as follows:

 afAddrType_t dstaddr;
 dstaddr.addr.shortAddr = 0x0000;
 dstaddr.addrMode = afAddr16Bit;
 dstaddr.endPoint = 2;
 dstaddr.panId = _NIB.nwkPanId;

In Z-Stack HA there are various Endpoints for ZNP Coordinator like 02,03,04,05,06.

Here I want to understand what is the significance of endpoint 03, what is it used for? Beacuse mostly we use only Endpoint 02 in our application.

Also if I want to define an extra Endpoint for ON/OFF in Samplelight what value of Endpint should I keep e.g. 09.?

Is there are guidlines to which integers for endpoints we can use? Or we can we can use any of 0 - 255? Is there any document I should refere to?

The reporting code is in Z-Stack 3.0.0\Components\stack\bdb, just look at the bdb_Reporting.c and bdb_Reporting.h files.
