CC2530: Position control on device

Hi,

I wanted to know how I could program the CC2530 SampleLight to be able to change the position of the motor depending on what the coordinator sends. A video and description of exactly what I am trying to do is in the link:

Currently I am able to turn the device on and off, but I don't know how to adjust the position of the motor. How can I do this?

I think this depend on what your control signal is when you control the motor. Can you elaborate this part of your project?

Currently the signal being sent from the coordinator is when the app is pressed on or off, and the CC2530 responds to that just fine. However, when I move the slider in the app to adjust the positioning, the CC2530 doesn't know how to respond to that and so it does nothing. This is the code I don't know how to do and am trying to achieve.

I mean what signal you use to control motor? PWM or only high/low signal?

I only use high/low signal right now.

Does the duration of high signal would affect how long the motor works?

Yes. If it is on the high signal, the motor is on. If it is on the low signal, the motor is off.

If so, you can use duration of high signal to control motor position.

For example, if 10 seconds duration of high would make motor to close 100% blind. You can set duration of high to 7 to make blink 70% closed.

How would the CC2530 know where set the position depending on the slider? I only know that SampleLight can only receive the on and off position.

I suggest you to use level control cluster to do this.

You can search ZCL_LEVEL_CTRL define in SampleLight example and study it.

I wanted to know what the difference between zclSampleLight_LevelCurrentLevel and &sLightLevel[10] is in the ZCL_LEVEL_CTRL code area.

zclSampleLight_LevelCurrentLevel is a variable to keep ZCL level attribute. sLightLevel[] is an char array to display level on LCD and sLightLevel[10] keeps the value of zclSampleLight_LevelCurrentLevel.
