i want to set reference time because i want to schedule an event to start at certain time and end after knowing waiting time

i think i wasn't clear in my question
let's assume i run door lock example and i want to send open door at 2:30 PM 29/6/2017 and close the door at 2:35 PM 29/6/2017
is it possible ?

It is possible but we usually do it from GW which means GW sends control command to doorlock at that time.

You can implement RTC in doorlock and use it to do what you want. You can refer to RTC APIs in osal_clock.c and osal_clock.h.
