RF smart studio_RSSI reading issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2591, CC2530

Hi,

Good day. I would like to ask 2 questios as below:

Question 1. When read the module with The Smart RF studio, does the register value show on the right hand side is correlate with the firmware setting?

Question 2. I am using a module with CC2530 + CC2591 to do the TX & RX testing.

While running the receiver test with RF smart studio, the RSSI reading is incorrect.

I set the vector generator to transmit the power for -55dBm with Zigbee waveform  but the RSSI I get in RF smart studio is -100dBm.

Range extender is selected to CC2591 and HGB is enabled. Directly probe the EN and HGB pin and both is showing high.

According to the Application Note AN086, while we using the range extender the RSSI calculation as below:

Real RSSI = Register value – RSSI offset

However, once I select range extender the RF smart studio should be automatically apply the formula and show the Real RSSI right?

Kindly advice
