CC2538-CC2592EMK: ZR join the network but it is not updating on linux gateway application.

Try to change BDB_DEFAULT_TC_REQUIRE_KEY_EXCHANGE TRUE to FALSE in the bdb_interface.h.

If you are suggesting to made this change in znp then ,i have already made this change

The strange thing is that I don't see end node announcement in your sniffer log so I suggest you to trace your router to see why it doesn't send end node announcement.

Also i have tried with cc2650 as end device with z-stack 1.2.2a sample temperature sensor example,this device also joins the network but not update device list on gateway application.

You can try toto force sending end node announcement when a device joins Zigbee network.

How to send end node announcement forcefully,which api/function should be used and and when/where should i call these function/api?

How can you be sure that issue is not on gateway/ZNP ?

I am not sure if there's problem on GW or ZNP. However, there is no end node announcement in sniffer log and I suggest you to use API ZDP_DeviceAnnce to force it sends out end node announcement in ZDO_STATE_CHANGE.

is there any difference between "Device Announce"  and "end node announce"   because i can see device annouce in the log attached below

Yes, they are the same. I see your CC2650 device sends end device announcement now but your GW doesn't request endpoint to it. I think you have to trace into GW to see what it happens.

Try to use printf() to output debug messages you want to check.

unfortunately , this issue came again, devices joining the network but not updating on gateway application.
i am using the same setup ,which i was using before going to vacation...now i came and just running the system and initially gateway starts with existing device list after that none of the device getting added on gateway....i have also reprogrammed znp and other devices also but still the deices joining the network but not added on gateway application ...this is strange!!!!

I also tried replacing GW but still same problem.

The sniffer log looks like the device joins without problem. No idea why your GW doesn't get notified. Are you sure you don't change anything?

during the procedure of network joining or rejoining ,these commands are initiated by ZNP or Linux gateway ?

Those commands are initiated by Linux gateway.

so the issue is ...my linux gateway is  not initiating these commands after device joins the network ,therefore my devices are joining the network but not adding on gateway. behaviour of gateway is random ...somtime it initiates these command (yesterday is was initiating),

and sometime it doesn't initiate these commands(today it is not initiating).

yesterday i turn off the system after closing all servers  and today just powered on the system , the system started with existing devices but after removing any device ,and adding it again or adding any new device ,gateway does not initiating these command .

I can only suggest you to debug GW application code.

how does gateway notified about any new device ?
i think there should be some signal/command from the znp to gateway for notifying about any new device so that gateway initiate these commands

GW should register callback for end node announcement to process accordingly.

I think this function is not getting called ..because there so many print statements in the function but i don't see any print during network joining procedure..

Try to check if "case ZSTACK_CMD_IDS__ZDO_DEVICE_ANNOUNCE:" in handleAsyncMsgs() is called.

i have put print statement in the start of the function like this ..

You should check if your ZNP send end node announcement from MT command first.

I have added these flags in the project and now ..the devices are appearing on the gateway .....But I m not sure that really this was the issue.
i still not understand ..what is the specific reason and why this is so random?
and what are compulsory flags to be defined for cc2538 znp to be work successfully?

I know you have to add ENABLE_MT_SYS_RESET_SHUTDOWN to compile options and those three are already defined in ZNP project by default.

i have tried many solutions but ...the gateway works properly only once ....if shutdown and then power off the Rpi and then start ..then it wont work ..either gw doesn't start or the devices not apear while joining ..behavior is very random

Try to use CC2531 USB dongle as ZNP instead of CC2538 to test again.

same thing is happening with cc2531 with reference firmware that given with gateway.

devices getting added on gateway once ....after shutdown and start device not getting added on gateway while joining.

with both the znp i.e. cc2531 and cc2538 same scenario is happening

Do you use prebuilt ARM binary to run Z-Stack Linux Home GW on Raspberry Pi or you build it by yourself?

I have also tried now with original binaries that comes with linux gateway ....but with this also same scenario....not working properly

What OS version do you run on Raspberry Pi?

I am using Ubuntu mate 32bit
