Hello,

I am using z-stack linux gateway with raspberry pi and cc2538-cc2592 znp.

So when I press any key to send any command from gateway application it frequently throws the timeout error.

please find attached screenshot of gateway application.

why this timeout issue occur and hoe to handle it?

What kind of command do you send from gateway? Do you use sniffer to check what happens over the air?

1) I am sending On/off command(N/F key) or PERMIT JOIN (P key)
2) sometime I can see permit join in sniffer when I press P key
3) sometime I can On/Off command sometime route request when I send On/Off command.
4) whenever this timeout issue occurs ,the data coming from ZED (by zcl report command ) is not getting updated on gateway application.(this is critical for me)

It seems that the connection between your ZED and GW is unstable.

But in the sniffer I can see the report command sent By ZED.

Also if i restart the zigbeeHAGW script and gateway application then it receives and update the report commands from ZED.

Till packet no. 4335 i was able to send any command and report commands were updating on gateway applicatopn

After packet no. 4335 timeout error came and then gateway is not updating report command from ZED.

and then i restarted gateway script and application after restart gateway was behaving normal.

But again after packet no. 9811 timeout error came and then gateway is not updating report command from ZED.

I see you send ON command to device 0x836E many time in one second interval around packet number 4335. Why do you do that?

at packet no. 4335 i have sent so many commands in 1 second because i was checking that in what cases the gateway stops working.
But if you refer to packet no. 9811 there i was not sending command continuously but still gateway stopped and throw the timeout error.

Around packet 9811, device 836E connects to router 0x59ed. If GW sends on command to device 9811, it should route through router 0x59ed. However, I don't see this behavior in your sniffer log. Is 0x59ed a router that you add into system?

0x59ed is a router and that was already in network.

It's strange that there is nothing send out from your coordinator. What Z-Stack version do you use on your cc2538-cc2592 znp?

z-stack 3.0 on znp as well as router and z-stack 1.2.2a on ZED

If you turn off router when this issue happens, can ON command be delivered to end device again?

1) If I turn off router when this issue happens, ON command will be delivered to end device again only if end device do rejoin to GW otherwise command will not be delivered and GW gives the same timeout error.

When you turn off router, end device should rejoin coordinator immediately and can be controlled from coordinator, right?

Current zigbee linux gateway have some bugs end update two years ago(2014 released).
I suggest use znp-host-framework instead of zigbee linux gateway.
