RTOS/CC2630: Optimizing Current Consumption

Part Number: CC2630
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIMAC,

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi BLE Team,

My customer is looking at optimizing their current code on the CC2630 with TIRTOS 2.11 and TIMAC.  They have not been able to get a sleep RTC with less than 3 mA, even with the out of the box example. With the TIRTOS 2.18 example, they can get down to 1 uA using the examples.  Where would you suggest they put their efforts: optimizing our current 2.11 code base or porting to 2.18 or later?  Are the newer RTOS versions compatible with the TIMAC or would they also need to upgrade to a new stack?

Thanks!

Barend
