CC2531: Z-Stack stops at while (!(RSSISTAT & 0x01)); with older devices

Dear Experts,

I am trying to use the latest Z-Stack 3.0 for my application. Here I am using the older CC2531 devices (V1.0.1).

My code stops at while (!(RSSISTAT & 0x01)); in mac_mcu.c file

This is the same behavior with Z-Stack mesh 1.0.0 stack.

Can anyone let me know ow can I resolve this issue?

Do you mean your CC2531 stops at while (!(RSSISTAT & 0x01)); in mac_mcu.c file right after application starts?

Dear Chen,
CC2531 is stopping before coming to app. I mean the code stops at "while (!(RSSISTAT & 0x01));" even before coming to GenericApp_Init() function.

Just test GenericApp in Z-Stack 3.0.1 with my CC2531 USB dongles and I don't see it stop at "while (!(RSSISTAT & 0x01));".

Hi Saradhi,

I got the same result as YiKai, GenericApp with Z-Stack 3.0.1 loads and runs properly using CC2531 USB dongle v2.4. The while loop check to make sure that the RSSI value is valid, which occurs eight symbol periods after entering RX. This is all part of the clear-channel assessment (CCA), have you tried changing your default channel? Has your CC2531EMK been physically modified in any way and are you able to test with a more up-to-date version? Are you able to flash the packet sniffer firmware? With which HW tool are you programming your dongle?
