Hi,

Back to school of Contiki.

Trying to compile Contiki NG for CC2650 Launchpad + CC2650 Sensortag(s) + 6LBR and unable to make them work.

Same hardware works when compiled using old Contiki.

Specific problems:

- SLIP radio, the info here is wrong (not updated) as ipv6 directory doesn't exist

CC13xx/CC26xx slip-radio with 6lbr

The platform can also operate as a slip-radio over UART, to be used with 6lbr.

Similar to the border router configuration, you will need to remove the defines that limit the size of the uIP buffer. Removing the two lines below from examples/ipv6/slip-radio/project-conf.h should do it.

Do not forget to set the correct channel by defining RF_CORE_CONF_CHANNEL as required.

Ater connecting Launchap SLIP radio and running 6LBR I have a website [bbbb::100]

- mote problem, after flushing cc26xx webdemo to sensortag I have

MAIN PROBLEM,

Everything together doesn't work, no network formed

When build on old Contiki, works OK

Someone can give me a hint?

I tried to build cc26xx-web-demo running on CC2650STK and I don't see PANID become 0x0000

Hi Jan,

Could you do a "git pull" on your develop branch? There was recently a bugfix in Contiki NG in regards of PANID handling for TI devices.

that fixed the problem with PANID, but still no operation

After flashing CC26xx-web-demo from Contiki NG into sensortag and powering into the working network of old Contiki motes,

the Contiki NG mote is discovered by 6LBR, but no other communication to it

Great to hear that fixed the PANID issue.

What do you mean by no other communication? There won't be any direct communication by default other than RPL DAG maintenance.
Are you able to ping your sensortag from the 6lbr host?

Contiki NG the firmware for web-demo doesn't work, mote keep blinking, not joining the network, while old Contiki ones do.
Was anyone able to use it with CC2650 sensortag?

When I test Contiki-NG, it cannot join 6lbr too. I suggest you to post an issue on Contiki-NG.

I did that and got the answer.

If I understand it correctly, there are 3 incompatible versions of Contiki now:

- commercial one owned by Thingsquare, paid, no source available

- old Contiki, no longer supported by Adam, his people and Contiki NG people?

- Contiki NG-will it grow and will it survive?

The future of Contiki doesn't look bright now with all these divisions.

jan2809 I have had time to test 6lbr with contiki-ng. If you have success to test it, would you mind to share the steps here so others have similar doubts can be benefited too.

As our students classes are already running, our students will be using "old" Contiki

If/when I know more, then definitely will share it.
