I notice that the cc1350 launchpad and Sensortag can be used with the Energia development platform. However the CC2650 launchpad is excluded - I believe because of some BLE stack licensing issues. Can someone explain why code for the CC2650 can not be developed using the CC1350 energia development platform. The structure of both chips is very similar, and code can be shared between these simplelink products. It is probably so obvious, but if someone can explain why this cannot be done I can move on to the more traditional "C" with CCS approach.

Can someone give an assessment of where "Energia" is at? Has it taken off or is it not a popular development platform. I would like to give it a go, but think it may be limited and no longer very popular. Any comments would be appreciated.

If you intend to use BLE function on CC2650 or CC1350, I suggest you to use TI BLE Stack which is more supportive.

I thought the BLE stack could be pulled into the energia platform. My real concern is does anyone still use energia? And can energia used with the CC1350 launchpad be transferred (with some exceptions) to the CC2650 launchpad.

Personal perspective, energia is more like a maker project and there are still lots of people using it for prototyping.

Thanks for the comment. I will proceed with "C" programming for this project. I think energia may be limited.
