CC2650: Linux gateway not able to resolve mac address of incoming report command from end devices and routers

Hello,

I am using cc2650 as ZED and cc2538-cc2592emk as ZR and Raspberypi+CC2538-cc2592emk(ZNP)

I am running z-stack home Linux gateway on raspberry-pi.

I have around 60 ZED and 5 routers in the network.

all routers and zed are sending data(report command) to getaway but gateway is not able to resolve the mac address from any report command. It is displaying 00 as mac address.

There is no MAC address information in send report command. You have to send IEEE address request according to short address to get it by application.

my system was working from last 2 months ,This never happened before and also i have not done any modification on any of the device, In my local log till yesterday I was able to see mac address but Not today

Not sure what happens to Linux GW. You can try to debug it.

In that case which device -ZED/ZR/ZNP not adding the mac informaton in the report command?

All of ZED/ZR/ZNP don’t add MAC information in the report command.

No, it won’t be added any time. You can verify this with sniffer.

In sniffer I can see mac address of device which is sending report command .

Looks like I don’t remember this correctly. Need to do some tests to refresh my memory. Hope someone from TI would help to clarify this.

Hello Dhanraj,

If it's been working for 2+ months then have you tried power cycling or restarting the Raspberry Pi and network devices?

yes there happens power cycle 3-4 times in a day from the day i have deployed the system.

I dont have full GW log , because I have added all the device back in the network by doing Rejoin.

I Think, in case of sudden power failure the device list(dbdeviceinfo.csv) get curropted/deleted.
Hence after power On gateway creates new device list (dbdeviceinfo.csv) In that case it receive data from device but will not have mac address.

In the attached snapshot after loosing the actual device list (dbdeviceinfo.csv), I have copied Incorrect device list file (dbdeviceinfo.csv) from my backup, thats why it was not able to resolve MAC address.
