Hello, I am using Z-Stack 1.2.1 (HA profile) and the codes are based o this version. Now I want to update my program codes with Z-Stack 3.0. How can I do it without writing the code again?

The code architecture is quite different. I suppose you can only merge your application code manually.

Can I use a sample application of Z-Stack 3.0 and replace the Application code of it with my application code? or I must modify another layers?

Thank you. How can I join a sample application (for example sample switch) to a coordinator? What is the function for joining?

In Z-Stack 3.0.1, it is bdb_StartCommissioning.

Excuse me, I used this API with STEERING mode, but the device sends Beacon Request just once. and when I check the status it is NO NETWORK.What should be done in order to it sends more beacon requests?

You can create a periodic event to call it again and again.

In the Z-Stack 1.2.1 I use ZDOInitDevice() to start sending beacons and it sends beacon Requests continuously. Doesn't this exist in this version?!

I have another question about ZNP. Can I use Z-Stack linux gateway with ZNP in this version? When I use ZNP no network is formed!

In Z-Stack 3.0.1, we use bdb_StartCommissioning instead of calling ZDOInitDevice directly. If you intend to use ZDOInitDevice, I suppose you still can do it. Z-Stack linux home gateway is based on HA profile and It makes no sense to use Z-Stack 3.0.1 ZNP.

I use Z-Stack 1.2.1 ZNP code for coordinator program and Z-stack linux gateway. So is it not possible to use Z-Stack 3.0 ZNP code as coordinator?

Z-Stack 3.0 ZNP should still can work with Z-stack linux gateway.

I use ZNP code of Z-stack 3.0 and it successfully connects to z-stack linux gateway (Servers run) but no network is formed by coordinator and so I can't join to it any device. Also in the gateway interface I see that address of coordinator is set to 0xFFFE (instead of 0x0000) and at the top menu "network is initializing..." is displayed So I think no network is formed. Should I change any parameter in the code in order to act as coordinator or forms the network?

Not sure what happens. You might need to debug into GW code to know what the problem is.

The HA1.2.2a Linux Gateway does not support 3.0 ZNP functionality.

So is there no way to update Z-Stack home with Z-Stack 3.0??! I want to use feature of Aging Timeout in Z-Stack 3.0. I compared ZNP code of two versions and they are similar but some parts are added to ZStack 3.0 ZNP code.

As I know, ZNP of Z-Stack 3.0.1 should cover functionality of ZNP of Z-Stack Home. The problem might be some command format inconsistent so I suggest you to print log on Z-Stack Linux Home GW to know where the problem is.

I think so. GW successfully connects to servers but the network doesn't form correctly. below figures are GW interface for Z-Stack 1.2.1 ZNP and Z-Stack 3.0.1 ZNP respectively.

You might need to add more debug message after unregistered state machine (0001adb5).

But the log is similar except after "Calling Confirmation Callback" (line 6) .As you can see for ZNP 1.2.1 " msg->status=1" and after that "Network Ready" is diplayed, but for ZNP 3.0 "msg->status=0" and "Network Ready" is not displayed! I want to be sure that whether is it possible to use Z-Stack 3.0 ZNP with Z-stack linux gateway or not!?

Yes, I think it is possible to use Z-Stack 3.0 ZNP with Z-stack linux gateway. You should check why msg->status=0 using ZNP in Z-Stack 3.0.

It is technically possible to use the Z3.0 ZNP with HA1.2.2a Gateway but there are several variables which must be disabled/reconfigured that are not officially documented. For this reason I recommend that you wait for the Z3.0 Gateway release which is planned to release with the next Z-Stack update.

Thank you Ryan. I hope new version of Gateway be available soon in order to use new features of Z-Stack 3.0. I wish I would able to use the current version of Z-stack GW with Z-Stack 3.0 until new version be available.
