Hello everyone.

I am working my project based on zstack3.0.1.

Both ZC and ZED is based on ZStack3.0.1.

I have some issue for my project.

1. Also, if there are several ZCs in one room, ZED may not be able to connect to the ZC registering its own IEEE address.

2.When the ZED is connected to the ZC,

if the ZED or ZC is power off/on, the ZED can not connect to the ZC.

Would you please explain to me for it.

I have used "NV_RESTORE"

1. What do you mean " ZED may not be able to connect to the ZC registering its own IEEE address?" Do you enable permit join on ZC for ZED to join?
2. I suggest you to use sniffer to check if ZED keep sending beacon request to rejoin ZC.

In ZDO_JoinIndicationCB(), ZC permit ZED.

Are there any other functions that ZC can allow for ZED?

It depends on your application and you can enable it when you need. However, I counldn't understand the logic that why enable permit join in ZDO_JoinIndicationCB.

My aim is ZED is connect to only ZC have it's IEEE address.

Basically, you can send leave request to ZED that joins a ZC that don't have ZED's IEEE address registered.

So I put in ZDO_JoinIndicationCB().

zAddrType_t destAddr;
destAddr.addrMode = Addr16Bit;
destAddr.addr.shortAddr = ShortAddress;

ret = ZDP_MgmtLeaveReq(&destAddr,ExtendedAddress,1,1,0);

Am I right?

Is there another function besides ZDO_JoinIndicationCB?

You don’t enable permit join in your sniffer log.

In "ZStatus_t ZDO_JoinIndicationCB(uint16 ShortAddress, uint8 *ExtendedAddress,
uint8 CapabilityFlags, uint8 type)",
If "ExtendedAddress" isn't registered in ZC, it is call ZDP_MgmtLeaveReq().
If "ExtendedAddress" is registered in ZC, it is pass.

Am I right?

What is you mean "permit".

Please think of me as BEGINNER for ZStack.

You have to use API ZDP_MgmtPermitJoinReq to enable permit join on ZC so ZC with permit join enable would respond ZED beacon requests with permit join enable beacon frame. When ZED receives permit join enable beacon frame, it can send association requests to specific ZC. Then, ZC and ZED will hand shaking with TC link key to get correct network key to join successfully.

It is in Z-Stack kernel and application developers cannot access to it.

Developer doesn’t know it. In application, you should enable permit before a device can join. When a device joins Zigbee network, it will broadcast end node announcement and ZC can receive it to know a device joins.

If I remember correctly, this is for device to process beacon frame from ZC/ZR and not suitable for your casez

Permit join can only be set on ZC or ZR. ZED can use NLME_LeaveReq to send leave request to leave network.
