Hi Support Team,

Actually we are using this part CC2530 for on chip solution of ZigBee.
While I have seen its design all design use CC2592 2.4-GHz Range Extender with CC2530 SOC.

It is necessary to use CC2592 2.4-GHz Range Extender with CC2530 ZigBee SOC? If I am not using CC2592 2.4-GHz Range Extender then any issue I found in ZigBee performance?

Can you please suggest me some document which guide me to design CC2530 ZigBee without CC2592 2.4-GHz Range Extender?

It’s no problem to use CC2530 without CC2592. All examples in TI Z-Stack is for CC2530 without CC2592 by default. You can refer to CC2530EMK as reference design.

Can you have information of ZIGBEE range with LNA(Extender)+ band pass filter and without LNA?

If you use CC2530EMK with SmartRF05EB, I can have about 70-80 meters in line-of-sight test with max TX power which is 4.5 dbm.

Hi YK Chen,

I am not using any SmartRF05EB device, I am planning to use only cc2530 zigbee soc and this soc interface with my main board processore with UART interface. I will use the filter component for RF_P and RF_N in cuch condition what range I will achieve?

That will depend on your RF and PCB design. You have to test to know how far your device can reach.
