CC2531: Packet Sniffer Software doesn't recognize CC2531 USB Dongle Packet Sniffer

Try to use attached driver to see if it works.

After going through manual I found the solution and CC2531 is now working with Packet Sniffer. The problem now being faced is that sniffer is not capturing all payload packets. It's only capturing very few random packets instead of capturing all the packets that I'm sending.

I would assume this is an issue with your Zigbee network since there are no known issues with the sniffer firmware, therefore please further describe you test setup. What are the Zigbee devices and stack versions you are evaluating, what is the desired channel of operation, and how far away is each node from the sniffer?

I made a network with 2 CC2531 devices using Z-Tool, one of them is a coordinator and other one is router. I'm using Z-Stack 3.0 and desired channel is (0x0B). Full setup is in a single room, you can say at arms length.

I uploaded the Sniffer HEX file on the 3rd CC2531. When I send AF DATA REQ commands b/w coordinator and router, sniffer doesn't capture all the packets.

What do you see in sniffer log?

These are the sniffed packets but none of the addresses (destination address and source address) are the ones from the network in the ZTool. For example, the source address you see in the second packet in the attached screenshot is 909D but the one in our setup is entirel different i-e 399F; same with the network address and even the payload. So, is it due to encryption or our packets are not being captured by the sniffer in the first place?

What do you mean “...the one in our setup is entirel different i-e 399F; same with the network address...?” The network address is assigned by ZC when a device joins to network and you cannot assignment it.

Yes network address is assigned by ZC when device joins it but Packet Sniffer is not showing the same address while capturing packets, instead, it is just showing some random address which has no connection to our ZigBee Network
