CC2530: OTA firmware upgrade for CC2530

Part Number: CC2530

Dear YK,

About OTA firmware upgrade, I take a look the Zstack OTA upgrade user guide. I have 2 questions:
1)  The user guide states that the OTA process need PC to connect to SmartRF05board + CC2530EM.   So, is it a MUST to use SmartRF05board with CC2530EM for OTA firmware upgrade? (i.e., is it OK to use 3rd party development board(the board have USB to UART IC , USB connectc to PC computer, UART connect to CC2530 TX RX, but this development board have NO external Memory!! )).

2)  The user guide states that the image file will first store into secondary memory first (e.g., external flash). But the OTA client side(my cc2530 target board) has no external flash and the my target board cc2530 have less than 50% of the free flash memory. So, under this situation, OTA is not possible unless we add external flash. Am I correct?    If I am correct, how to connect the external flash into the OTA client side such that the OTA process can use up these exterrnal flash memory.

Thank you very much
