Hello everyone,

Just a basic question: Can I use Smart RF packet sniffer (not sniiffer 2) to sniff the packets of Lauchxl-cc2650. One the website, cc2650 is written under "can be used to capture packets from". I didn't get it.

I've CC2530 acting as a coordinator (presently powered by the battery) and launchPad CC2650 as a end device (by USB). I've installed the packet sniffer and under Zigbee/IEEE802.15.4, I am not seeing CC2650 as a supported device. Please advice me Can I use the sniffer agent to trace the data packets? Any good resource will help me a lot.

If you have CC2531EMK-SUB or CC2530DK, it's no problem to connect them to desktop and use Smart RF packet sniffer (not sniiffer 2) to sniff the packets of Lauchxl-cc2650.

Thank you for your response. Can I do the reverse of it? (Connect LaunchXL-CC2650 to the Packet sniffer from Desktop and sniff the packets of CC2531)

I think you need to use Packet Sniffer 2 if you want to use the CC2650 LP as the sniffing device:

Install Wireshark 2.4.x BEFORE installing the packet sniffer.

Download Wireshark installer from: www.wireshark.org/
