How many devices that I can connect to the CC2530 Zigbee Coordinator ??

Default in Z-Stack 3.0.1 is 20.

In our automation application we use zigbee router for switch_ module (for on/off lights,fan,ac etc) require one per panel.
We have installed 17 in our office.

But now we have site where around 40 panels so we require 40 router.
In these case what should we do can you please help me with this?

What if we require to connect 40 zigbee router to coordinator???

We have devlope a home automation system as in snapshot. What if we require to connect 40 devices like this.

You can enable permit join on all ZC/ZR and it would be no problem to add 40 routers into a Zibgee network.

I don't know about permit join.

How can I implement this?

Do we need to change in router as well as coordinator's code?

You can broadcast ZDP_MgmtPermitJoinReq from ZC to enable permit join on all ZRs.

my question is there should be change only at coordinator side ????

And in my application I get the short address of the router from coordinator using

if(APSME_LookupNwkAddr(&TXbuff[1],&temp_NwkAddr)==TRUE)

and than send the msg to router from coordinator.

Will that work for also for permit join router??

and what if want to keep permit join period infinite ??

I have also find the api NLME_PermitJoiningRequest() ?

Please tell my understanding is wrong or right that

NLME_PermitJoiningRequest() : will permit all devices

ZDP_MgmtPermitJoinReq() : will permit perticular device am I right??

NLME_PermitJoiningRequest enable/disable permit join on device who calls this API. Using ZDP_MgmtPermitJoinReq, you can specify which C or ZR you want to enable/disable permit join.

I told you to broadcast permit join with ZDP_MgmtPermitJoinReq to ZC and ZRs.

The CC2530 ZC configuration is extremely limited on RAM space and overall not recommended: e2e.ti.com/.../679475

There are suggestions for optimization: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Optimizing_Flash_and_RAM_Usage_of_Z-Stack_for_CC2530

Permit joining is not allowed forever in Zigbee 3.0: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../What's_New_in_ZigBee_3.0

But if you are insistent on bypassing this then you would have to create a timer event to re-enable permit joining every few minutes after the previous time expires.

So I can not connect the 40 router to the Coordinator as YiKai Chen ??

And I am currently using Z-stack 1.0.0 ?

In this version infinite permit join is not supported???

You can attempt it, I'm just warning you of the restrictions. It is easier with a non-3.0 stack (no TCLK update tables) and you are able to permit join enable forever.

ZDP_MgmtPermitJoinReq, can be done on any routing device as it is broadcast through the mesh network, and whenever your application requires it.
