Hello TI

I'm working on cc2530 modules and I can forming a network and starting timer with samples, samplelight and sampleswitch,

now I wanna send a number of data bits (for example a hundred of bits) in a specific time and when the light module gets them, led on and off .

could you please help me where should I define the bits in sampleswitch and what codes should I add in sampleswitch and samplelight timers?

This depends on your application so can you elaborate how you get the data? I suppose you should put the code to send data at where you get hte data.

I wanna send the desired data (specific data) with switch module, and when sending is completed , LED toggles in light module. in both sides, I have 2 cc2530 modules, and there is nothing in light side to show the data that has sent ,just I have LEDs in samplelight side.
could you please helping in codes?

Do you have to use Zigbee 3.0 for such easy task? If not, I would suggest you to refer to GenericApp example in Z-Stack mesh 1.0.0 and it already show you how to send and receive "Hello World" between two modules.

yes , I use zstack 3.0.1 and load samplelight and sampleswitch in it on modules.

I completely understand your question so you don't have to repeat your descriptions again. I have give your replies and suggestion. How about having a look at GenericApp example in Z-Stack mesh 1.0.0 instead of samplelight/sampleswitch examples in Z-Stack 3.0.1?

I'd advise that you refer to the application implementation from the Z-Stack Mesh GenericApp example but we do not recommend downgrading stacks to accomplish this functionality, in fact please consider using Z-Stack 3.0.2 with the AF_DataRequest API.

Hello

In order to send the data when use Z-tool, we used command AF_DataRequest and enter the data in the Data part.
To send the data when use Samples, we also use the command AF_DataRequest , but which option to enter the data? buf Place???

After you install Z-Stack mesh 1.0.0, GenericApp will be inside examples folder.

It depends on your application, for example, using AF_DataRequest to send data when a button is pressed.

Yes, quite right, I just have a module
I have no hardware
And I used to send a timer that does not need a key.

Can you elaborate where is your data from? If it’s from sensor connecting to CC2530, I suppose you can send the data right after you read it.

It's true. After reading the sensor, which part of the Sample Switch?
I do not have a sensor yet
And now I just want to test and write the digital data manually on the Sample Switch .

We usually create a periodic timer event to read sensor data and that’s what you have to add by yourself into SampleSwitch.

Yes, just put the data you want to send in parameter buf of AF_DataRequest.

Ok , so thanks for your answers and so sorry on many questions, could you pleas say ,in a network, in using this:

AF_DataRequest( afAddrType_t *dstAddr, endPointDesc_t *srcEP, uint16 cID, uint16 len, uint8 *buf, uint8 *transID, uint8 options, uint8 radius )

,( except pbuf : [I defined it : uint8 pBuf[20] ={1,1,1,1,0,0,1,1}; ; ])

what should I diffine ? I think other input parameters of this function will be ok when the module is in the network, for example for [endPointDesc_t *srcEP] how should I diffine it?

I suppose you can use zclSampleSw_SimpleDesc instead of GenericApp_epDesc as srcEP parameter of AF_DataRequest.
