CC2531: CC Debugger LED stays red = Can't find the Stick

Hello everyone,

i try to flash the CC2531 Stick with the CC-Debugger, but everything i try => the LED stays red.

I tried several firmwares on the CC Debugger without result. Drivers are ok. The Packet Sniffer detects the CC2531 and the Flash Programmer and SmartRF Studio 7 detects the Debugger.

I tried several cables and checked the connection with a multimeter -> Everything looks fine.

Both (stick and debugger) are plugged in on the same Laptop and i pressed the Reset Button several times but the Stick doesn't show up in the Flash Programmer.

Any idea?

Hello Chris,

Try rotating the connection to the CC2531EMK by 180 degrees.

Thanks for your reply.

I already rotating the cable by 180 degrees without a change :(

I also tried three various Notebooks (Win XP, Win 10, MacOS)

I really don't know what I am doing wrong :(

As i said, I checked the cable connection while the cables are plugged in and I got short circuit between 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 .... and so on.

(Sorry for my bad english)

After you reverse the cable, do you press reset button on CC Debugger to make it scan device again?

For sure. Every time i changed something i pressed the reset button.

Try to replace an USB cable connecting wiht CC Debugger.

Do you have another CC2531EMK and CC Debugger to do cross checking?
