Hello

I want to get started with CC2530 ZDK , i install ZsensorMonitor and i followed the same steps in the guide but i have problem in the serial port (when i run the Zsensormonitor it can't connect with the SmartRF05EB ).

The SmartRF05EB is in Cebal controlled Device and i want it in Port (COMxxx)

is there any one can help me ?

Hi hamza,

Have you updated the EB firmware using the SmartRF FLASH-PROGRAMMER? What firmware have you loaded to the CC2530 and what jumper/cable connections are on your SmartRF05EB?

When you connect USB cable to SmartRF05EB, it won’t simulate any COM port. You have to use the RS-232 connector on SmartRF05EB and an USB-to-RS232 cable to connect with SmartRF05EB.

I still have the same problem even when I changed the connection of the USB cable to VGA (I used a RS232-usb adaptor) ,it detects the adapter but it didn't detect the smartrf05 card

There could be an issue with your jumper configuration on the SmartRF05EB.

It's difficult to tell what is connected and what's not on P1, furthermore you need to be aware that ZsensorMonitor is deprecated and no longer maintained or supported. Have you tried using a ZNP configuration with Z-Tool?

I suppose you should select COM7 instead of COM3 on your Zigbee sensor monitor.

I select the COM7 but nothing change because the COM7 is just for the usb adapter ( it didn't detect the card).
