Dear TI,

The document http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra439/swra439.pdf describes how to align Z-Stack to work with Skyworks SE2431 range extender. We have noticed that mac_radio_defs.c file contains several tables which are defined for different range extenders (TX power table array, RSSI offset adjustment value array, Sensitivity adjusts, Saturation adjusts).

We are using custom HW design which combines CC2530 and RFX2401C. Is there a description of a procedure that we need to perform to fill-up all the tables from mac_radio_defs.c for our HW design?

Thank you for your reply but in suggested post I can see that only Tx power table is covered (macRadioDefsTxPwrTables). What about 3 other tables: macRadioDefsRssiAdj, macRadioDefsSensitivityAdj, macRadioDefsSaturationAdj?
Do we need to update them as well? We are not clear what they are used for. How to get them?

Hi Aleksandar,

You will need to use a spectrum analyzer to determine the optimal values based on your specific hardware design.

Thanks for reply. We can get analyzer or hire external lab with needed equipment.

Getting Tx table measurements seems self explanatory (power readings on 2.4G and several harmonics plus current measurement).

Still I don't have a procedure to get the rest of the tables from the mac_radio_defs.c file: RSSI offset adjustment value array, Sensitivity adjusts, Saturation adjusts.

Can you help to understand the purpose of this remaining tables and procedure to get values there?

I'm attempting to loop in our Hardware Team for further details, in the meantime you could estimate values from the examples provided and have confidence that being slightly off from the optimal settings should not greatly affect performance.
