CC2530: How to use Z-Stack with Raspberry pi 3 with CC2530 board as a HAT (An additional hardware board on top of Raspberry pi 3)

Part Number: CC2530
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK

Hi team,

This thread is mainly focused on resolving one confusion related to using Z-Stack for running on Raspberry pi 3 which is connected with CC2530 board (connected as HAT) through SPI interface. There are two options which are available to build Z-Stack and use the example applications for Zigbee coordinator in Z-Stack via. CCS or IAR Embedded Workbench. I prefer to use IAR Embedded Workbench to build the Zigbee Coordinator applications for pairing with end devices.

So, here are my doubts :

1. Do I need to install IAR workbench on Raspberry pi to build Zigbee applications? If so, how can I do this ? Any reference document or link to TI website is great for me

2.  Can I also use Z-Stack Linux gateway mainly for pairing with devices and data transmission from end devices ? This will be lot of easier for me as I understand from different links available online that I will be able to build the application for Raspberry pi?

Can anyone help me understand which one of the above two points will be easier for me and respectively please share any links through which I can go through.

Thanks very much for your time.

Regards,

Mohit
