CC2650: What is the most suitable configuration from slip radio and rpl border router when implementing 6lowpan border router with raspberry pi?

Part Number: CC2650

Im confused with some configuration setups that most of them are used the configuration of slip radio as the edge node iof the 6lowpan network. So I have some couple of question regarding this.

1) What are the exact differences between these 2 configurations ( configuring the edge node as the rpl border router and slip radio)?

2) If I used a slip radio configuration as the end point node, do I have to configure the rpl border router configuration in raspberry pi?

  • If you configure CC2650 as edge router, it runs edge router like 6lbr lite on CC2650. If you configure CC2650 as slip radio, you have to run edge router on another host such as Raspberry Pi and connect to slip radio for radio communication.
  • Thanks for the reply sir. I have used the rpl border router configuration before. According to the example code, I need to feed the network prefix to the BR node through a tunslip6 via a raspberry pi. Also I noticed that, when I tried to install the 6lbr ( unfortunately still couldnt make it happen :( ) I was unable to feed the network prefix my using the command "sudo ./tunslip6 aaaa::/64 -s /dev/ttyACM ". Do you know what would be the reason for that?
And how can I give the prefix in such a case?
