I used the SDK v2.30. I want to ask some basic question about router device in the Zigbee network.

1.I think router device support forwarding packets and deal with its packets(such as End-Device) in the Zigbee network. It means router device support End-Device and routing function. Am I right?

2. One Coordinator and router already existed in my Zigbee network and now a new router device want to join my Zigbee network. what's factor to decide the new router device will connect to Coordinator or router? Signal strength?

4. What's the max number of devices which connect to router device or Coordinator under the SDK of V2.30?

1. Basically, router supports routing function but what you mean "router device support End-Device"?
2&3. Basically, it's who response to beacon request first, router will join it first. It's usually the one with stronger signal.
4. It's defined by NWK_MAX_DEVICE_LIST and default is 20.

Hi YK,
The first question is that if I want to sending or receiving data from the Coordinator via report cmd whether my router device can deal with these data??
For example, I want to make my wall switch as router device. I knew the wall switch can forward packets to Coordinator or others Zigbee devices in the Zigbee network. If the wall switch receive a data that comes from Coordinator and belong to it to open the light, whether the wall switch(router device) can deal with these data or it cannot deal with these data??
