Please note, Texas Instruments has just released Revision E of pre-production silicon for the following SimpleLink™ devices:
- SimpleLink Sub-1 GHz CC1312R Wireless MCU supporting proprietary Sub-1 GHz development as well as the SimpleLink Sub-1 GHz stack
- SimpleLink Multi-Band CC1352R Wireless MCU supporting Sub-1 GHz and 2.4 GHz proprietary solutions as well as Bluetooth® low energy, Thread, and Zigbee
- SimpleLink Bluetooth® low energy CC2642R wireless MCU supporting Bluetooth® 5
- SimpleLink Multi-Standard CC2652R Wireless MCU supporting 2.4 GHz proprietary, Thread, Zigee, and Bluetooth® low energy
Additionally, the following LaunchPads have been updated with Revision E silicon:
To determine the silicon revision of your device, please reference the following diagram:
With the pre-production release of Revision E silicon, Texas Instruments would like to highlight several key compatibility considerations:
- Revision E silicon will only be compatible with SDK v2.40.00.xx and later
- Revision C silicon will only be compatible with SDK v2.30.00.xx and earlier
- Revision E silicon is currently available on the TI store for the following devices:
- All silicon released before the device production will be “x” marked and can either be Revision C or Revision E
- All silicon released post-device production will not have the “x” marking and will be Revision E or later.
All users must migrate to the “non-X”, Revision E silicon immediately after RTM to develop with the latest features and ensure software and hardware compatibility.
Reference the following chart for a summary of software compatibility:
