Hello,

For ZCL_CLUSTER_ID_MS_ELECTRICAL_MEASUREMENT cluster i have defined a customized attribute of unit8 size for coordinator & device .

This attribute is written by coordinator using zcl_SendWrite and gets updated on device side.

so is it possible to set the callback of this attribute when it is written by coordinator ?

I suppose you can only do this inside zclProcessInWriteCmd by yourself.

1. How can i get to know which attribute is called & what is value for that attribute inside zclProcessInWriteCmd ?

2. Is it a polling condition or same as callback?

1. You add your custom attribute so I suppose you know the attribute ID which is the value for the attribute in zclProcessInWriteCmd .
2. It is a callback.

Where there is ZCL write command, it will be invoked by Z-Stack and you don't have to register it.

Ok, so what i understood is whenever there is ZCL write command ( zcl_SendWrite ) send by coordinator, Z-Stack will call zclProcessInWriteCmd.

In zclProcessInWriteCmd function writeCmd = (zclWriteCmd_t *)pInMsg->attrCmd; this line will give me the attribute ID.

Question i am having is
1. As i don't want to disturb zclProcessInWriteCmd function how can i get the attribute id now?

2. My aim is to get callback whenever my attribute is written by coordinator so i can read the value of the attribute in a callback function.

You should use pInMsg->msg->clusterId and statusRec->attrID to compare if they are the cluster ID and attribute ID you want to process.

Do i need to mention pInMsg->msg->clusterId inside zclProcessInWriteCmd function.

Example:
uint16 Attribute_Id;
uint16 Cluster_Id;

static uint8 zclProcessInWriteCmd( zclIncoming_t *pInMsg )
{

.....................
Cluster_Id = pInMsg->msg->clusterId;
Attribute_Id = statusRec->attrID;
...............

}

As an example suppose my cluster id is 0x1010 and attribute id i want to process is 0x0505.
So, i need to compare if,
pInMsg->msg->clusterId == my cluster id and statusRec->attrID == my attribute id.

Now for comparing i need to get pInMsg->msg->clusterId in some variable and statusRec->attrID in other variable.

1. So, do need to add some lines of code to get pInMsg->msg->clusterId and statusRec->attrID inside zclProcessInWriteCmd function as this function will be hit every time ZCL write command is sent by coordinator.

I don’t have example code to share but it just checks cluster ID and attribute ID which is straight forward.

Although not designed for the CC2538, you can refer to the Zigbee SimpleLink Academies for examples of creating custom certifiable products: dev.ti.com/.../zigbee_02_custom_devices.html

You also have the application examples (light/switch, tempsensor/thermostat, doorlock/controller) to reference.
