RTOS/CC2652R: Testing comm between end device and coordinator via router

Hi TI Team,

I just implemented a zr switch router using SDK2.40. Physically, I put the router between end device and coordinator.

Now, I'm testing communication between end device to coordinator via the router. Is there a way to confirm the communication route is indeed via the router?

Can the packet sniffer show this?

Hi,

After the end device joins the network via a router, this end device will periodically send MAC data polls to that router.

A good start is using zed_sw, zc_light, and any zr. This way the zed_sw can send Toggle commands to the zc_light (perhaps through the zr if the zr is the parent of zed_sw).

You can join ZED and ZR to ZC first and turn off ZC to make ZED connects to ZR as it parent. Then, you can turn on ZC and send data between ZED and ZC and the messages should go through ZR. When you test this, you can setup sniffer to confirm if the messages go through ZR.

Hi YK,

I tried exactly as you recommended but after I reconnect the ZC it cxannot sustain connection, the log shows communication goes back to ZED to ZC.

Is there a way to connect to end device join router diretly as Tobly said?

When you turn off ZC, does your ZED connect to ZR?

Hi YK,

When I off ZC, the zED will connect to ZR. When I off ZR, the ZED will connect to ZC. The ZC- ZR-ZED can extend 20 m more with controlling led.

How to check if report data receipt in ZC?
