CC2531: clarification about Zigbee compliance?

Part Number: CC2531
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK, CC2530, CC2538

Team,

- Is the Zigbee compliance linked to a specific device part number?

A Zigbee device based on CC2531 + Zstack 3.0.2 need to be certified and this is the answer from the Zigbee alliance:

"Certified Products used as the basis for Certification Transfer must be based on one of the following programs: Zigbee 3.0, Zigbee Smart Energy, or Green Power Device.
The product you referenced in your message is certified to Zigbee Light Link, which is not open to the Certification Transfer Program. I would suggest that you work with the product manufacturer to identify a suitable version of the product that meets your requirements."

I have seen the below E2E answer that suggest that compliance of Z-stack 2.7 translate to Zstack 3.0.x:

Thanks in advance,

A.

  • This is a good question AnBer, ZCP certification is based on both the stack version and device.  As of today, Z-Stack 3.0.2 is a Zigbee Compliant Platform for CC2530/CC2538 devices and the CC2531 is unfortunately not included in this list.
