Dear e2e people,
my team is currently evaluating RF performance difference tests between SmartRF05 v1.8 and SmartRF06 evaluation boards. We are using official SmartStudio 7 tool which performs PER test on two Windows machines. It appears that PER test when different modules are used gives bad performance:
- SmartRF05 <-> SmartRF05: good results
- SmartRF05 <-> SmartRF06: bad results
- SmartRF06 <-> SmartRF06: good results
What is the problem here? How these two modules can be incompatible? I would expect at least same performance as with cc2530-cc2530.
Background: generally we use SmartRF05 evaluation board as reference for range user testing for various ZigBee devices that we produce (mostly CC2530) but when we use it with CC2538 based devices the results are unexpectedly bad.
