Hi,

In TIMAC software which portion of the source file related to normal FFD and normal RFD. How this configuration changes. In code Beacon payload size represents 0x46, what is the maximum size of beacon payload.

our protocol contains 120bytes. Can i insert my protocol into beacon payload.

Hi sudha,

Which example project are you basing off of? From the msa example, you can switch project configurations to decide between FFD and RFD and view the differences. msa_BeaconPayloadLen determines payload length but should not be used for your payload. You should be referring to msa_Data1[MSA_PACKET_LENGTH] but this is limited to a maximum of 102 bytes, therefore you will need to break up your payload into 2 frames.

Maximum 102 Bytes is software based or Hardware Based. If software based Can i change the the msa_Data1[MSA_PACKET_LENGTH] size

Maximum application data length, MAC_MAX_FRAME_SIZE, is 116. These are determined by the IEEE 802.15.4 Specification and cannot be increased or changed in software.
