Hi,

I'm using a Launchpad CC2650 with Packet Sniffer 2 to view ZigBee traffic in Wireshark.

Everything works perfectly, except the timestamps are wrong, they are starting at the unix epoch (1970-01-01) every time I restart the Launchpad.

Is there some way to fix this?

I think it’s more related to your Wireshark settings than Packet Sniffer 2.

Hi,

Try changing settings for viewing timestamps. (In Wireshark: View -> Time Display Format).

Hi,

it's not a problem in Wireshark, the timestamp in the data from the sniffer starts at 1970 every time I reset the Launchpad (as I mentioned).

What version of wireshark are you using? Please attach a sample log showing the behavior you describe.

I user Wireshark Version 2.6.6 (v2.6.6-0-gdf942cd8).

This is likely not an issue in the sniffer firmware.

The CC2650 does not know the time; it is up to the OS program to set the correct timestamp base.

If timestamps are important for your use case, I recommend using Ubiqua, which already has this feature built in.

Have you eventually been able to figure out what the problem was? I am currently experience the same.
