CC2520: highest channel frequency in use in China

Part Number: CC2520

HI everybody ,

I m using CC2520  and Zigbee .   Now as far as I know  highest  ch in use for Zigbee  is   Ch 26  @ 2480  ( this makes sense to me since  2483.5  is highest allowed freq  for ISM  on worldwide base ) .

customer is willing to use  also  ch @ 2483.5  MHz  :   I think it is forbidden even in China   being  out of ISM specs

am I right ?

thank you

best regards

Carlo

  • The highest channel is ch26 as you point out. If they use something that is outside the defined zigbee channels they are no longer zigbee compliant, do they don't want to be that?

I don't have overview of the Chinese regulations.

  • Hi Ter ,

OK  for zugbee ch .   They may also consider proprietary protocol in same cases ,  but ISM  is  a worldwide standard   .

so placing a main carrier at 2483.5  MHz   a modulation  will violate standard  , and this shoudl be true also in China : am I right ?

    thank you

    best regards

    Carlo

  • TI can't give an official comment on a standard, to get that you have to contact a test house that are certified to test according to the standards used in the country in question.
