Hi,

I recently bought two CC2652RB LaunchPads, and tried going through the Thread CLI Project Zero workshop - dev.ti.com/.../node but when I try scanning for networks from the 2nd CLI after setting up the leader in the 1st CLI, nothing gets picked up and I get the error message "Error 5: Busy".

I am not sure whether this is a board compatibility/config issue, could someone kindly help?

If I am not wrong, Thread example cannot run on CC2652RB. It only works on CC2652R1, CC1352R1, and CC1352P for now.

Hi Toby,

Thanks for sending this through. I have read the PDF closely but it does not seem to contain anything related to the issue. It appears to only deal with configuring internal/external oscillators depending on preference.

Hi Yikai,

Thanks for your response, is there anywhere I can find example Thread projects that are compatible with the CC2652RB? I was of the opinion that CC26x2 subsumes CC2652RB. Or do I need to get the Launchpads exchanged for compatible versions?

For now, I am afraid that you have to buy CC26X2R1 LaunchPad if you need to run Thread Protocol.

TI has not characterized the CC2652RB for 802.15.4 and as such support of relevant stacks cannot be expected until a later date. I will follow up with our Web team to ensure that this message is clearly represented in our online resources.
