CC2530: CC2530 z-stack joining problem

Hi guys,

I'm using cc2530 Zigbee module and z-stack home automation 1.2.2a sample light end device code.

I've got a serious problem in joining.

sometimes it continuously sending beacon and never start joining by sending association request even though coordinator response to its beacons.

and sometimes it starts joining process but not the entire process, for example, stop at simple descriptor response and sometimes it not sending its clusters entirely.

and sometimes sending some of the clusters but stop at this level.

Hi armin,

What is the ZC device are you trying to connect with and are you using a TI-provided EVM or custom PCB for your ZED? How close are the devices to one another? Have you considered evaluating with Z-Stack 3.0.2 instead?

Hi Ryan,

I'm using zigbee2mqtt for my coordinator and custom PCB, my devices are close enough together they are in the same room, I'm using HA 1.2 because of my personal purpose I will use z-stack 3 in another time but for now, I prefer to use this (HA 1.2) version.

Hello armin,

Have you tested/validated the radio of your CC2530 PCB with SMARTRFTMSTUDIO? There could be an issue with the RX path or crystal since it does not seem to receive any packets intended for it. Do you have multiple custom PCBs to test with? You should also consider testing this issue with a default Z-Stack 1.2.2a ZC example.

I didnt change anything, but I add some code where I needed because I wanted to modify code for my purpose.

I added some clusters and attributes and enabled UART and start a couple of OSAL timers.
but i dont think my problem is the result of those modifications because in the first place i had some issues in joining
