CC2530: Pairing with a Green Power Device

Hi!

I am developing a Hub (coordinator) with a CC2530. I bought some Green Power sensors thinking that they should be ok with my coordinator but it does not. In the sniffer, I only see "Channel Request" from the sensors but no response from my coordinator. So the device does not pair and thus I do not receive any information from the sensor.

Is it not CC2530 ZigBee 3.0? and ZigBee 3.0 should support receiving messages from Green Power Devices, right?

Hi! thanks for your answer.

In that post, Ryan said:

"Z-Stack 3.0.x for the CC2530/CC2531/CC2538 supports Green Power Proxying as required by the Zigbee 3.0 Specification"

Shouldn't then the CC2530 support receiving the GPD messages? I understand that I cannot make a Green Power device using a CC2530, but I just want to receive messages from them.

Hi Ryan, Thanks!

In the future I will evaluate the CC2652 but sadly due to deadlines that I have, I must stay with the CC2530 (we already have the hardware). So I guess that if Z-Stack in CC2530 does not support receiving messages from GPD I should change sensors then...

CC253X Z-Stack doesn’t support GP sink.
