CC2531: Maximum number of devices that can join a Zigbee 3.0 network

Part Number: CC2531
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1352P, CC1352R, CC2652R, CC2538

Hi all,

ZIgbee 3.0 specification mandates that devices joining a Zigbee 3.0 centralized network must initiate a TC Link Key update procedure upon joining the network, in order to generate a unique TC Link Key.

This mandatory unique TC Link Key establishment for each capable device leads to an increased flash requirement on the coordinator.

Considering this, how many devices can a CC2531 ZNP coordinator can handle ?

Is there an official value stated somewhere ?

Thank you,

E
