Hi,

current I try to connect the CC2531 EMK with SmartRF PacketSniffer to capture Zigbee data packets.

I have flashed the CC2531 EMK with the firmware sniffer_fm_cc2513.hex.
The location of the firmware is PacketSniffer/bin/general/firmware.

When I connect the CC2531 over USB with the Windows 10 PC (64bit), the green LED of the CC2531EMK goes on.

The device manager of Windows tells me that the CC2531 has no COM-Port and no driver.
I think that this could be the point why PacketSniffer can't find the CC2531.

Has somebody an idea which firmware or driver I could use to connect the CC2531 with PacketSniffer?
Or has someone a completely other idea what I could try to fix the problem.

It would be great if someone can help.

Hi Marcus,

I am using a similar setup but not seeing such behavior. Make sure you have installed the correct USB driver: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/zigbee-and-thread/f/158/t/696235

You should be able to see the CC2531EMK appear under Device Manager as Cebal controlled devices -> CC3531 USB dongle. You can also refer to this FAQ page: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/zigbee-and-thread/f/158/t/699648
