CC2652P: RF compliance test without Smart RF studio

Hi Ryan,

I tried to use the rfEasyLinkNp example code on the LAUNCHXL CC1352P-2, and I have a question.
I used the following command for 250kbps 2.4G 2-GFSK, and set the tx power to 20dBm, but It seems that the setting was not successful:
AT+I 06
ATPPW=20
ATPPW
04OK                 => read the tx power in dBm, not 20 dBm
Is there any mistake?

I set the CERTIFICATION_TEST_MODE=true on sensor_2_4g example code, but I got the "PHY ID is wrong" error message.

And I check the PHY configuration in sensor.syscfg.

Phy Type= 250 kbps, IEEE 802.15.4

Phy ID = APIMAC_250KBPS_IEEE_PHY_0

According to the source code, whether the certification test mode is not supported on CC2652P?

Hi Ryan,

The TI 15.4-Stack can be configured for operation in Sub-1 GHz and 2.4GHz frequency bands.

My cognition is that CC2652P does not support Sub-1 GHz, so I use the "simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_20_00_35\examples\rtos\CC1352P_2_LAUNCHXL\ti154stack\sensor_2_4g" example code.

I select the Certification Test Mode in Sysconfig, but get the same error.

Could you help confirm that the build the sensor_2_4g with Certification Test Mode is no problem?

Hi Kay,

I was mistaken.  Certification test mode is for Frequency Hopping Mode which is only allowed for Sub-1 GHz operation, not 2.4 GHz.  https://dev.ti.com/tirex/content/simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_4_20_00_35/docs/ti154stack/html/ti154stack/example-applications.html#fh-conformance-certification-application-example 

You therefore cannot use this Test Mode with the CC2652P.

So regarding 250kbps 2.4G 2-GFSK pattern, is there no other way to perform RF test and transmitter over than 5dbm power value except using smart RF studio & JTAG?
