CC2652P: Standby current abnormal when 15.4 stack is initialized.

Hi, I use CC2652P, SimpleLink SDKv4.20.

In SDK, I use 15.4 stack.

I'm testing standby current on my target, and I find this:

If I comment _macTaskId = macTaskInit(macUser0Cfg) in main function as below, standby current on my target is 14uA.

But, if I don't comment this statement, standby current on my target will first be 2.4mA, then after 250s, it goes to 14uA.

I observed that after 250s, the macTaskFxn in macTask.c will be invoked once, and then standby current goes to 14uA from 2.4mA.

As below

When this function is invoked after 250s from target reset, the macEvents is 0, and then, standby current goes to 14uA.

So, how to resolve this problem please?

Hi yingtao,

Are you using LaunchPad or custom PCB, and what example project are you referencing? Are any modifications made to the application? Is Beacon or Non-Beacon mode used? Is POWER_MEAS enabled? Can you confirm that exactly 250 seconds passes before standby mode is entered? What happens if you commission the device before this time?

I use custom PCB, my example project is as below

I use non-beacon mode.

15.4 config in syscfg remains unchanged.

250s, yes, the error is within ±2s.

The last question I don't understand, what do you mean "commission the device" please?

What does "POWER_MEAS" mean please?

Thanks for providing the additional information. Commissioning a device means joining it to a network and having it regularly communicate with a collector.
