CC2530: Maximum device in Zigbee network.

currently we are using CC2530. with Z-stack 1.2.2.

Now, we can add around only 30 nodes with Coordinator device. now how can we increase Maximum number of node in coordinator.

i think there is some heap related issue.

There are some variables you can configure, but due to RAM restrictions you should not expect to be capable of producing an exceptionally large network.

I think you can join Zigbee routers into your network to allow more devices to join.

currently we are using Z-stack 1.2.2. and there is only 20 device limitation for coordinator network. now i want to increase limitation of this network nodes. so what changes needed in network.

The max child device on Z-Stack is defined by (NWK_MAX_DEVICE_LIST default is 20) in nwk_globals.h and this is the constrain of system RAM/Flash. You can change NWK_MAX_DEVICE_LIST to allow more device to join directly to coordinator.

Hi Ryan,

i'd read your forum. but still i didn't got any solution.

i'm use Z-stack 1.2.2 with IAR embedded work bench. and i'd set Stack(0x800 = 2KB) and heap size 1KB..

but i'm not sure about it like it's working or not.

can you suggest me about stack and heap size requirement for 50 device for coordinator.

XDATA can be 0x400 but INT_HEAP_LEN should be larger than 1 kB, I recommend at least 3 kB if allowed by the compiler/linker.

Please explain this statement further. What behavior are you observing in your Zigbee network? Be sure to stagger the joining of devices.
