CC2530: Reduce Broadcast Message traffic in Network

Hello

Currently i am working on C2530 in both coordinator and router mode with SDK 3.0.2 and it works with 20 node in network with one coordinator. I wanna know that how to reduce Broadcast message traffic in network i analyze it from CC2531 USB Sniffer with Wireshark. Due to this traffic we are facing issue that some time ACK not receive and some time response time between node to coordinator increase .I share Wireshark Frame for same with 19 node and also share One Wireshark frame with only 1 node in network . Actually our requirement is for 100 plus device in One coordinator that's why we want know how to reduce traffic in network .Please suggest for same .

Can you provide network key to decrypt your sniffer log? Does your router node send broadcast messages from application?

Hello Ketul,

What Z-Stack 3.0.2 examples are you using and what changes have you made to the network settings? Several broadcast occur during commissioning for permit joining and identification procedures, but outside of routing issues (many-to-one routing protocol is recommended to minimize route discovery broadcast storms) the only broadcasts would be employed by the developer's application.

We use default key for that it is as below. No Our application not send broadcast message from application .

In SDK 3.0.2 GenericApp example project is modified for our application. We are using AF_datarequest for send.

You've provided the global TC Link Key which is provided by the Zigbee Alliance, not the NWK key specific to the network you've formed. The global TCLK is only helpful if you sniff the joining process for which the NWK key is transported over-the-air. Make sure you are not sending broadcasts with AF_datarequest if you do not want superfluous broadcast message traffic.

I see your devices keep broadcasting Match Descriptor Requests. What example do you test as device? Is this expected behavior from your application?

Thanks For reply issue has been solve by Disable OTA Functionality as we does not required it in application layer.
