CC-DEBUGGER: CC-DEBUGGER win_64bit drivers not recognized by Windows 10

Part Number: CC-DEBUGGER
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FLASH-PROGRAMMER, CC2531, SMARTRFTM-STUDIO, CC2531USB-RD

This issue has already been entered as [EXTERNAL] Case CS0315166, but I'm including the description, etc. below:

Number: CS0315166 Contact: Claudia Warner First name: Claudia Last name: Warner Short description: CC-DEBUGGER win_64bit drivers not recognized by Windows 10 Email: cwarner@itron.com Company: ITRON Company phone: Language: English State: Open Provide case details or comments: This is in reference to ticket CS0301889.

I ordered and received the CC-DEBUGGER. I downloaded the FLASH-PROGRAMMER onto my Windows 10 64-bit PC. It installed under
Program Files (x86)/Texas Instruments/SmartRF Tools/

I downloaded the win_64bit_x64.zip file, unzipped it, and moved the CC-DEBUGGER driver files under
Program Files (x86)/Texas Instruments/SmartRF Tools/Drivers/cebal
(so now there are win_32bit_x86 and win_64bit_x64 folders under there)

Then I connected the CC-DEBUGGER to the laptop and to the CC2531 dongle (plugged into another USB port on the laptop).

In the Device Manager, I’m only seeing the CC Debugger and CC2531 USB Dongle listed under the Other devices folder. There is no cebal folder. I tried restarting the laptop, but it didn’t help.

What am I doing wrong? Should I remove the win_32bit_x86 drivers?

Thanks,
Claudia Warner
