CC1352P: What is meaning of the Many-to-One Route Request over sniffer?

Part Number: CC1352P
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2538, Z-STACK

Hello Community,

I am working on the CC1352 ZNP device,

I have added the CC2538 end device to the network,

While looking over the Z-Boss Sniffer logs,

I am able to see the Many-to-One Route Request on the zigbee network.

Will you please help me to know,

1. Why this request sent over network within regular interval?

2. Can we stop this?

Here are sniffer logs for more info.

  • Hello Shiv,

Please review the Z-Stack User's Guide -> Z-Stack Overview -> Routing -> Many-To-One Routing Protocol section.  Many-to-One Route Requests are sent at a pre-configured interval determined by CONCENTRATOR_DISCOVERY_TIME (set to 60 in the ZIGBEE-LINUX-SENSOR-TO-CLOUD firmware examples).  You can disable these by changing the pre-define to zero or disable MTO entirely by removing CONCENTRATOR_ENABLE.

    Regards,
    Ryan
