Hi! I would like to re-open this thread because I'm interested in the same question that IMHO wasn't answered to the author.

Is there any possible workaround to enter in bootloader mode with a pure software solution (without the GPIO Backdoor Pin)?

Hi Mauricio,

The two methods of entering the ROM bootloader are to perform a device reset with the GPIO backdoor pin enabled or with a blank device (i.e. complete flash memory erase except for CCFG and all 0xFF IMAGE_VALID_CONF register). The other option to consider involves a custom flash bootloader.

Awesome, thanks for the reference. Would be possible to modify the flash bootloader to be activated with an UART command?

Yes, the benefit of a flash bootloader is its ability to be modified and customized for a user's application needs. The disadvantage is additional flash usage.
