I made as on link you send. Cluster ID i used 0x0402 for temperature.

Endpoints i took from example - i don't know what has Auara WSDCGQ11LM sensor, perhaps i can get it using

ZDO_ACTIVE_EP_REQ, but not return something with sense.

There is no ZDO_BIN_RESP messages

It seems that your 3rd party device doesn't join coordinator. Make sure you setup coordinator and enable permit join to allow device to join.

UTIL_GET_DEVICE_INFO is for the local ZNP device.  You should use the information provided by the ZDO_END_DEVICE_ANNCE your ZNP receives once the end device has joined the network.  Parameters are provided in the MT API and you can review response messages and over-the-air packets to determine whether the requests were sent correctly.

OK, so i did rejoin - here is result

You see address of end device ( i think sensor) is 0xBF7A - this same when i use command ZDO_GET_DEVICE_INFO_RESPONSE

So its mean that sensor is joined network - can i bind now using those addresses ?

Yes, you can use short and IEEE address in ZDO_END_DEVICE_ANNCE_IND to do binding.

You can use ZDO_ACTIVE_EP_REQ with short address to request active endpoint first. After you get active endpoint, you can use ZDO_SIMPLE_DESC_REQ with short address and active endpoint to request simple descriptor on endpoint to know if the endpoint supports temperature cluster 0x0402..

OK, but i get info that there is no active endpoints - what can be a reason ?

You ZED (short address 0xBF7A) is not responding to any of your requests, it is either never polling or sending data requests so infrequently that the ZNP messages time out (NWK_INDIRECT_MSG_TIMEOUT) before the ZED checks in.  The active endpoint response to your local ZC device is returning empty because you have not registered any local endpoints with AF_REGISTER.

Do i need to make this same proces always after power-up ?

On destination application will be only one temperature sensor, so i can remember parameters in memory.

 If not then do i need first find endpoints ZDO_ACTIVE_EP_REQ and ZDO_SIMPLE_DESC_REQ then REGISTER and make BINDING to get data from sensor ?

Bind records should be saved in NV memory, therefore this process would not be required for a device after a successful bind request.  Endpoint registration will be needed during initialization each time.

Last days after some hardware work on module with zigbee dongle i wanted to start temperature sensor and it can't

start comunicate without button press on sensor after power-up

On power-up  dongle - coordinator side i do folowing steps :

APP_CNF_BDB_START_COMMISIONING

UTIL_GET_DEVICE_INFO

ZDO_END_DEVICE_ANNCE

AF_REGISTER

ZDO_BIND_REQ

(AF_DATA_REQUEST)

What else need to be done to get it work - Sensor was joined network on previous power-cycle.

Other probelm with CC2531ZNP-Prod.hex firmware on dongle is that exactly 1 minute after power up not answer for commands - LED on dongle during this time is ON

OK, i add command AF_DATA_REQUEST and looks that sensor after temperature change  send messages.

So my last issue is 1 minute CC2531 frozing on power up.

Do you use Z-Tool to send MT command to ZNP in your test with CC2531 USB dongle.

Simple  code 0x07 doesn't force jump to app,

but i will check documentation

Yes, i use Z-tool when dongle is inserted on PC USB socket and

i also test it on HOST USB on own controller based on ARM

If you use attached CC2531-GW-ZNP_38724.hex, which is from Z-Stack Linux Home GW 1.0.1 reference design, running on your CC2531 USB dongle, do you still see such delay?

CC2531-GW-ZNP-38724.hex has also 1 minute wait time and not support APP_CNF_BDB_START_COMISSIONING command ( 0x2F05)

To shift to app. shall be send simple 0x07 code by UART or using standard frame format with SOF on begining etc  ?

After checking the Z-Stack 3.0.2 Boot code (this may differ for the HA 1.2.2a stack), forcing the application to start occurs with a 0xEF:

#define SB_FORCE_BOOT               0x10
#define SB_FORCE_RUN               (SB_FORCE_BOOT ^ 0xFF)

It does not require the SOF and can also occur through a SB2_PRESS:

#define SB2_PRESS  (P1_3 == 0)

The bootloader is not required for a ZNP build.
