CC2652P: Debugging CC2652P1FRGZ with XDS100 V2

Dear All,

I'm beginning a project with CC2652P1FRGZ (bought EByte E72 2G4M20S1E module on internet) (This project is to replace an obsolete Freescale Uart to Zigbee transceiver)

I've experience with 280xxx devives but nothing nothing with CC Rf devices.

1) I've a working XDS100 V2 14 pins interface (at least with 28032 and 280049 devices) but I'm unable to connect and establish link with CC2652P1

Is it possible to use XDS100 V2 with CC2652P1 Devices ?

If yes, I've connected 4 JTAG pins, reset and power, are there other connections on pins configuration to take care ? Is reset necessary ?

2) For Uart to Zigbee interface, which project do you advise me to start with ?

I prefer a project without RTOS.

Hi,

I believe the supported debuggers are XDS100v3 (included on the SmartRF06EB, www.ti.com/.../SMARTRF06EBK) and XDS110 cJTAG for now.

Launchpads contain XDS110 debug probe. These debuggers are used by default. www.ti.com/.../LAUNCHXL-CC1352P

I don't think we support non-RTOS examples but I have to check.

Hi Francois,

FI is correct, Z-Stack is only supported though TI-RTOS. But your project appears to necessitate using the CC2652P1 as a Zigbee Network Processor (ZNP), the firmware of which should not require many changes as the application is hosted on a separate device and is intended to communicate through UART by default using MT APIs. Custom board designs are supported through SysConfig, please see the relevant section of the Z-Stack User's Guide for more information (there is also a SimpleLink Academy Lab available). You can refer to the ZIGBEE-LINUX-SENSOR-TO-CLOUD or Z-Tool for host examples.

1) I've checked this afternoon and it seems that I need at least XDS110, I'll try with one available on 280049 LAUNCPAD tomorrow

2) Ok for RTOS, I'll do with it And thank you for the links above. I'll start with the projects you indicate.
